Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland
The generous support of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland is crucial in aiding KidsOut to provide our services to some of the UK’s most disadvantaged children. KidsOut is a charity founded by Rotarians on Rotary principles and can trace its roots back to the work of local Rotary Clubs and Districts, when in 1990 the Kingston Rotary Club and Kingston Littlewoods store organised an outing for 200 children to go to Thorpe Park.
Rotarians and Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland continue to be at the heart of KidsOut, having helped to shape our charity into an efficient and effective organisation. The National Rotary KidsOut Day is the highlight of every year at the charity, with the event in 2019 providing a fun day out for 28,000 children across the UK!
In response to the challenges KidsOut has faced with Covid-19, Rotary Clubs and Districts from all over have shown their continued support. We are hugely grateful to all the groups who have donated funds to KidsOut, enabling us to keep providing fun and happiness to children who need it most.
Thanks to the following Clubs, KidsOut will give the opportunity for every mother and child in a UK Women’s Aid Federation refuge to go on a fun day out once restrictions allow:
