Ash Class Use

“Ash Class use the Phyzzpod to teach the pupils about their. We use pictures and the interactive dice to recognise feelings. We then progress to recognise what makes us the way and what we can do to manage the feeling. We also use use it to support the pupils learning in our Creative Curriculum. We have labelled features of a castle, made a firework display and “All about Me” question session.

At the end of our sessions the pupils enjoy watching the bubble tube, the star cloth and listening to quiet music, whilst looking at the sensory toys, e.g. liquid timers, different sponges  and land held lights. We have found that some of the pupils will talk about things that are troubling them or an incident that has happened whilst in the Phyzzpod which is something they would usually find a challenge.”

Emma Green – ASC Lead

“The Phyzzpod is popular multi sensory learning environment for our students at Grange Academy. It is the perfect calming space for children to enjoy the effective lighting, the bubble tubes, sensory accessories  and soothing sounds. We also, use the Phyzzpod as a tool for a range of themed learning activities to coincide with the subjects we are teaching in school, such as the rainforest, the Romans, special days of the year and life skills activities such as recognising emotions.”
