Spooky fun and partying!

In partnership with the Mason’s and Family United Network, who offer support to families in Bedfordshire who have a child with a disability or special needs, KidsOut put on a Halloween party. It was a huge success with over 100 children and their parents attending on 2nd November.

There was lots of yummy treats, games and dancing throughout the evening. All the food was home made and very creative with the theme of Halloween and there were juices available for the children.

The Entertainment “Black Box Boys” put on the disco and were great. They interacted with the children and assisted with party games.

Parents and children dressed up for the occasion, one child said “Mum was funny in her clothes!”. The response from the group was a resounding “Can we do it again?!”.

Diane from Family United Network told us the party had a positive impact because ‘the children can spend time with friends and enjoy an activity that most main stream children take for granted. They especially enjoyed dressing up and doing party games’. ‘Group activities like this help the families. As the children bring all their own challenges and needs, doing things as group helps families with confidence.’
