A Second Successful Year for Liverpool!
On Friday 22nd September KidsOut returned to Liverpool for our second ever Liverpool Question of Sport event. The night was an incredible success, raising £58,000! Which means that in just two years the Liverpool Question of Sport event has raised over £100,000!
Held at the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool, business men and women from the North West region gathered for a night of fun and fundraising for disadvantaged children in the area.
Expertly hosted by seasoned KidsOut host Mike Osman, the evening was kicked off by a speech with regional committee chair Amanda Wills, followed by a moving speech by a local refuge worker.
There were some fantastic prizes available through the Silent Auction, including Gucci handbags, Versace shirts, signed Everton and Liverpool FC memorabilia, and a signed Anthony Joshua boxing glove. Available in the Main Auction were amazing holidays to Cancun, the Arctic and South Africa. This lead to over £30,000 being raised through the Auctions alone.
The Liverpool Question of Sport event last year was the most successful premier event in KidsOut history. For this reason, KidsOut presented committee chair Amanda Wills with one of their special awards; a limited number of which are reserved for people or companies that have done outstanding things for the charity during the previous year. The charity cannot thank Amanda and her committee enough for their passionate dedication and drive, which is the reason the Liverpool event has been so successful in the first two years.
Due to the success of last year’s Liverpool event, KidsOut have been able to expand their output in the North West region significantly, and now our services can continue to grow in the area to help even more disadvantaged children.
