Santa’s Elves Pack Toys For 600 Children!

Over 600 toy boxes were packed at FedEx HQ on Saturday, just in time for the Christmas demand of Toy Boxes.

The majority of children who receive these toy boxes have been forced to flee domestic violence and seek sanctuary in a refuge. When they leave refuge KidsOut provides a box packed with cuddly toys and fun games to show that someone does care. Usually the children leave home with just the clothes on their back and a toy box is the first step of bringing stability and fun back into their lives.

A group of 30 volunteers from FedEx, KidsOut and Norman Broadbent worked tirelessly throughout the day to pack the toy boxes. The toy fair provided thousands of discounted toys to use in the toy box from companies such as Padgetts, RMS International, Paul Lamond Games and Aurora. Pictured to the left is a group shot of the volunteers holding the FedEx cares banner; an initiative where FedEx employees volunteer their time to help worthy causes.

We would like to thank FedEx and all volunteers for making this possible!
