Mini ‘Question of Trivia’ Raises £1,000

KidsOut brought their Question of Trivia quiz to Leighton Buzzard for the third year in a row. Taking place on 16th September 2016, the scaled-down version of KidsOut’s larger corporate fundraising events was a success with over 80 people filling the town’s Rugby Football Club to take part.

15 teams took part in the general knowledge quiz, which tested subjects including geography, music, sport and history across 3 rounds, as well as a ‘fiendishly difficult’ round devised by the CEO. Other features of the evening included a higher or lower game, ‘guess how much money in the box’, and a main auction for a Drayton Manor Stay & Play pack and Monty Python signed print.  The Rugby Club made a delicious lasagne supper which was enjoyed by all.

“Well done KidsOut for organising the quiz – a great night and loads of fun. Look forward to the next one!” said Toni Forestiero, quiz attendee.

Local businesses kindly donated raffle prizes, including a meal for two at The Lancer, a Wildwood men’s clothing voucher, a ceramic pottery voucher at Reasons to be Cheerful, £25 One Delivery voucher, a photography session at SF Digital Studios and more. Local shops and business also advertised in the evening’s brochure.

Overall, just over £1,000 was raised for disadvantaged children in the local area. KidsOut would like to especially thank Dave and Ruth at the Rugby Club for all their support and for helping to make the night the success it was. Special thanks also to Mary Hardy for being a fantastic quiz master, Alan Brandham for all his tireless hard work, and all who donated and/or attended.
