Leighton Buzzard Question of Trivia Another Success!
On Friday the 6th October 2017, KidsOut held their annual Question of Trivia evening for the fourth consecutive year. The local scaled- down version of our larger corporate events was held again in Leighton Buzzard Rugby Football Club, where over 60 guests came to enjoy a fun-filled evening in aid of disadvantaged children.
The main event of the evening was the Trivia quiz, which consisted of 3 challenging rounds. Guests were tested on their knowledge of sport, popular culture and general knowledge in a competitive duel for that winning spot. Other features of the evening included a ‘higher or lower’ game, a ‘guess the celebrities’ picture round and a raffle. The rugby club cooked up a delicious lasagne to fuel the guest’s brains before the final round of trivia questions.
“This was Team Aubergine’s first time at a KidsOut quiz night and now we’re hooked! Well organised (naturally!), a good balance of questions and such a fun evening. We loved the healthy rivalry with the other teams, too. The lasagne was de-lish! All that and in support of a great cause, too. We’re looking forward to the next one” – Mark Tomkins, quiz attendee from Aubergine.
Overall, just over £800 was raised on the evening for disadvantaged children in the local area. We couldn’t have done this without the help and support of so many people. KidsOut would like to make a special thanks to Dave and Ruth and their team at the rugby club for their continued support and delicious food; Alan Brandham for his tireless help with organising the event; and Mary Hardy for her excellent quiz mastering skills. Thank you also to all who attended and donated. Finally, a big well done to the Young Farmers who were quiz champions on the night!
