KidsOut Virtual Festive Celebration helps raise over £400,000!

KidsOut’s Festive Celebration took place on Thursday 11th December and was a great success, contributing much needed funds as part of our Giving Tree Appeal which to date has raised over £400,000 for the charity’s work with disadvantaged children across the UK.

KidsOut were thrilled to welcome back long-term supporter Mike Osman as host.  A HUGE range of entertainment was provided throughout the night with an exclusive interview from Sir Cliff Richard, music from R&B and soul singer-songwriter Terri Walker, Violinist Everton Nelson, West End Kids, Abbotts Hill School Choir, British Baritone Tom Mole, Cheron Mole and Tom Wakeley on piano (and choir), a Christmas Quiz and a Christmas cocktail lesson courtesy of Boom Bars.

The Festive Celebration also had a very special interview with Jocelyn Van Bruggen, who is the Children and Young Persons Service Manager at Next Chapter Refuge Colchester. Jocelyn gave an insight on how KidsOut have helped the families she works with.

In addition to the main quiz, guests could take part in the iconic KidsOut silent auction. There were some fantastic items up for grabs including UEFA Champions League tickets, Studio sessions with

Dantae Johnson at The Woods Studio, Rob Bishop artwork, a stay at Chewton Glen Hampshire, and much more. The KidsOut team are sure the winners of the charity raffle and auctions will enjoy their fabulous prizes.

KidsOut would like to say a huge thank you to our main sponsor Equiida for their help and support.  The money raised at this event will be used as vital funds to continue to supply Toy Boxes to children in refuge for Christmas and throughout the year.

A special shout-out is also needed for all the fantastic committee members as without their contribution, this event would not have been possible. Thank you also to Robert Waterman, Joe Francis and Frank Trevett for their technical support.
