The 2019 KidsOut Summer Ball was another huge success, raising over £108,000 to support6X2A6365 KidsOut’s work in bringing fun and happiness to disadvantaged children! The prestigious fundraising event took place on Thursday 13th June 2019 at London’s premier 5* Royal Lancaster Hotel, with over 400 guests attending from a range of businesses and industries.

KidsOut were privileged to have the hilarious comedian Justin Moorhouse hosting the evening, with the band AFISHAL back by popular demand to provide music for the guests to dance the night away.

Chairman of the KidsOut Ball committee, Josephine Crowe, delivered a fantastic welcoming speech thanking guests and main sponsors for their attendance and contribution. Josephine was followed by KidsOut Chairman Sir David Michels, who delivered a powerful speech about KidsOut and the services the charity offer. Sir David also presented a well-deserved thank you to ex-KidsOut Chairman, Helen Pitcher OBE, for all her contributions to the charity over the last nine years. KidsOut would also like to reiterate our gratitude.

IMG_3619A mother from a local refuge also took to the stage to share some emotional and raw personal experiences about domestic violence and how Women’s Refuge and how KidsOut can help children to recover from such traumatic times and events.

This lead into the pledge section of the evening, where guests were invited to donate just £20 to take a child on a Fun Day or to help to provide a Toy Box for a child that has been relocated from refuge. The guests were then treated to the joy of listening to aspiring singer Holly Ellen, who gave us a beautiful rendition of “Make You Feel My Love” and “City of Stars”.  An amazing talent that is sure to go far!

The Main Auction featured luxury items such as a week in the number one ski chalet inIMG_3634 Maria Alm in Austria, tickets to the ATP Final, and unique paintings by artists Ben Moseley and Rob Bishop. There were many other fantastic prizes featured in the silent auction such as lunch with John Sergeant, tickets to see Little Mix, and signed sporting memorabilia!

After the night’s main proceedings and an exquisite three course meal, the guests could either enjoy a barn-storming set from the band AFISHAL or partake in the KidsOut casino!

KidsOut would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the Summer Ball committee – the event simply wouldn’t be possible without the help and support of the committee members who freely give up their time to support the event and ask for nothing in return. Thank you. A big thank you also to those companies who sponsored features of the Ball: CCF LTD, BSS, and M&S.
