KidsOut’s London Question of Sport Gala Dinner was a great success, raising over £95,000 for the charity’s work with disadvantaged children throughout Greater London. Over 300 people from London-based companies joined KidsOut at The Royal Lancaster London for a night of fun and fundraising on Thursday 16th September 2021.

Presenter Jonny Gould hosting the event whilst contemporary Artist Ben Mosley paints live

KidsOut were thrilled to welcome presenter Jonny Gould as quizmaster, evening host and auctioneer for our first event in over 18 months. There were more special guests in attendance, including Team GB’s official artist Ben Mosley who has been painting various murals and pieces dedicated to the Tokyo Olympic Games and British athletes that participated.

Congratulations to Crown Office Chambers and IWSR Limited who won the Champions League and Europa League trophies respectively. Both teams were well-deserved victors of the interactive sports quiz!

In addition to the main quiz, guests could take part in two auctions. There were some fantastic items up for grabs in the silent auction and main auctions, including a private Chalet in a breath-taking Austrian Ski Resort, a day out to Mercedez-Benz World, an Oasis montage signed by both Gallagher brothers, luxury artwork by Rob Bishop, and two tickets to a home Arsenal game at the famed Emirates Stadium. Perhaps the most exclusive item on sale was a one-of-a-kind painting by Britain’s top live painter Ben Mosely of both the London and Tokyo skylines. The artwork was produced on the night and finished just before the main auction! Ben is a rising star in the art world and his portfolio continues to grow. The KidsOut team are sure the winners of both auctions will enjoy their fabulous prizes.

Natasha Willicombe accepting her Lifetime Award

Each year KidsOut offer awards to people or companies for their outstanding support and contributions to the charity. This year’s award was presented to Natasha Willicombe in recognition of her tireless commitment to KidsOut’s work and mission we congratulate her on becoming our latest Lifetime Ambassador, a truly deserved award.

KidsOut would like to say a huge thank you to the Gala’s London event committee, as the Question of Sport event would not have been possible without their help and support. The money raised at this event will be used as vital funds to continue to supply Fun Days and Toy Boxes to disadvantaged children throughout Greater London, helping KidsOut bring fun and happiness to disadvantaged children who need it most.

The date of the next KidsOut London gala dinner has been confirmed as Thursday 16th June 2022. Be sure to stay up-to-date with the charity’s social media channels for more details!
