This story follows the well-known plot, but with a modern take and lovely illustrations. The Three Billy-Goats Gruff want to move to greener pastures, but a Troll has other plans for them. Unfortunately for him, they’re as clever as they are hungry.

The Three Billy-Goats Gruff is aimed at children aged six to eleven and is available in English plus sixteen other languages including Polish, Arabic and Hindi.

KidsOut launched World Stories in 2012 as a free, electronic library of short stories and tales from around the world. The service was primarily created to help children with English as a second language and includes the English and native translations of over 100 stories and counting.

World Stories is a FREE educational resource designed to enrich a child’s education and allow parents and teachers to easily access literacy resources at home. The online database has a growing collection of stories from around the world, including retold traditional tales and new short stories in the languages most spoken by UK children.

Please do share this with as many teachers, staff, parents and children as possible so that they can benefit from our free resource!

All of our stories are translated by a team of committed and generous volunteers. Without them, this service would not be possible. To get in touch to become a volunteer and create your own stories or translations, email abby.wagge@kidsout.org.uk or call 01525243216.
