Join Olympic Games medallist Vicky Thornley with a charity cookalong for KidsOut!

KidsOut patron and Olympic Games medallist Vicky Thornley will be supporting the charity with a virtual cookalong – and you can join her!

Vicky will be cooking a lentil and cauliflower curry live on Cookalong.tv on Thursday 20th August 2020 at 19.30. All you have to do is enter the prize draw for a chance to cook live online with Vicky. All proceeds will go to KidsOut.

“Cooking a big passion of mine,” said Vicky. “So to be able to cook with others and raise money for KidsOut, is a perfect combination. Any money you can give will be hugely appreciated. Best of luck in the draw!”

Donations start from as little as £1, with the more you donate giving you more entries into the raffle. More entries = more chances of winning!

Even if you do not win, you will still be able to watch Vicky cook her curry and follow along at home! Each celebrity cookalong is streamed live on YouTube, so you can still take part. Set up your mobile or tablet in the kitchen and follow the recipe in real time – and share your results on social media with #celebritycookalong.

All the money will be used to support victims of domestic violence living in refuge. Social distancing has compounded the extreme isolation many of these children already face, with most living through this crisis restricted to a single room with their mother and siblings. Almost all the children will have left every possession behind when fleeing from their abuser, being housed in a refuge with only the clothes on their backs. With your help, we will be able to provide families in refuge with boxes of brand-new toys and food vouchers to support their mental and physical health and bring some much-needed fun and happiness.
