Golfers chip in to support KidsOut at first Leighton Buzzard Golf Classic

The sun was shining on the Three Locks Golf Course in Great Brickhill, Buckinghamshire for our 11 teams of golfers to enjoy a fantastic day of golf on Wednesday 16th September.

The course is built alongside the Grand Union Canal, with the River Ouzel weaving its way through, providing natural water hazards that prove a challenge for any standard of golfer. The day offered the opportunity for players to improve their golf skills on a challenging course, whilst supporting KidsOut’s work helping disadvantaged children.

11 teams consisting of local companies and individuals played 18 holes of golf. It was then back to the clubhouse for dinner, charity auction and raffle. The day raised over £1,500 in total and this included donations and hole sponsorships from companies. The worthy winners of trophies and wine were Andy Walton and team (pictured below); closely followed by Osborne Morris & Morgan Solicitors. Prizes were also awarded for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive.

KidsOut would like to thank every team that took part in the first Leighton Buzzard Golf Classic and helped us raise over £1,500; a fantastic amount of money.
