Even more Summer Fun Days to KidZania!

KidsOut provided 168 children with the opportunity to attend a Fun Day out KidZania, the indoor city run by kids, over the month of August!

KidZania, KidsOut’s charity partner, is a fun learning environment designed for children aged four to fourteen. Over the four-hour experience, the children were able to explore over sixty real-life activities and test their skills in a variety of professions including doctors, dentists, and vets, to name a few! Throughout the experience, the children earned “kidZos” (KidZania currency). Once they accumulate seventy-five kidZos, they could open their very own bank account, complete with a bankcard!

The feedback that we have received from mothers and workers demonstrates the positive impact that trips to KidZania have on the children that we support. One mother told us that “it really builds my autistic sons confidence. He will now go round KidZania on his own while we sit in the café, and has gained the confidence to ask staff questions because he feels safe. I cannot thank you enough!”

A support worker added that the “children feel less excluded as they can join in with friends when discussing what they did in the summer holidays. This opportunity helps to build the parent/ child relationship and eases the guilt parents often feel as not being able to afford to take their children out”.

A massive thank you to KidZania for their continued support. We look forward to working with you again to add more #FunandHappiness to disadvantaged children’s lives. Thanks is also given to the Vintners’ Company for their generous grant which helped to fund 50 of these Fun Days.
