Ciena Charity Bike Ride Raises over £3,510 for KidsOut!
KidsOut are happy to announce that the Ciena 2019 Partner Bike Ride raised a fantastic £3,510 for the charity’s work in providing positive experiences to the UK’s most disadvantaged children! Ciena is a leading supplier of telecommunications networking equipment, software, and services, and has been a major supporter of KidsOut for many years.
On Friday 14th June 2019, participants in the Ciena’s second charity cycling event traversed the picturesque Chiltern Hills in West London, enjoying a great day out cycling, making valuable connections, and creating unforgettable memories. This one-day event included cycling on countryside roads and provided a fun and challenging ride for all abilities, with two distances to choose from: 70 or 110 kilometres.
KidsOut’s Chief Ambassador, Julian Margolin, was blown away by the endeavours of the Ciena team. “A bike ride of that distance is quite a feat in itself. To have raised a fantastic amount of money for KidsOut in the process makes it a phenomenal achievement! From all of us at KidsOut, I would like to say thank you for this very generous contribution to our work. Your support will go a long way to bringing fun and happiness to children all over the UK!”
KidsOut would like to reiterate our gratitude to everyone who took part in the Ciena bike ride. £3,510 is an amazing amount raised and will help hundreds of disadvantaged children.
KidsOut welcomes donations from charity company events and is always extremely grateful for any contributions.
