Rotary Panto Heroes take children to Sleeping Beauty

sleeping-beautyAs part of the Rotary KidsOut second annual Day Out 2016, KidsOut Ambassador Rotarian Kevin Mack and District 1145 with the support of Rotary helpers, took disadvantaged children in the Aldershot area to a Christmas Pantomime on 8th December; Sleeping Beauty.

Rotary gave the children a thoroughly entertaining afternoon at the Princes Hall Theatre, Aldershot. Many had not seen a pantomime before. The children came from refuges which are situated in, and covering all, the areas the Rotary district covers.

Kevin commented, “Kids Out sent us a box of presents to distribute, which the children were very grateful for. Ice creams were supplied and mayhem ruled! If we can bring a little happiness and joy to these children then we have done really well.”

A huge thank you to District 1145 for funding and organising such a wonderful Christmas trip and also to David Phillips at the Princes Hall for his assistance in organising this event.
