If you make a donation to KidsOut from your salary every month, KidsOut gets the tax that you would have had to pay. Because you make your donation before your salary is taxed, the government gives KidsOut the £2 tax you would have paid on your income. That way, you donate £8 from your salary but KidsOut gets £10!
Further information can be found here: http://www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk/employees.htm
It couldn't be easier to give in this way. Just ask whoever deals with your payroll whether they have a payroll giving scheme and ask them to set up a donation to KidsOut.
If they haven't got a payroll giving scheme, ask them to set one up!
Setting up a payroll giving scheme is a great way to demonstrate to your staff that you care about the things they care about. All the information that you'lll need to do it can be found here:
http://www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk/employers.htm
If you run a payroll giving scheme already, perhaps you could set up a 'Pennies from Heaven', where everyone is asked to donate the extra pennies they get from their salary (e.g. if someone earns £100.27, perhaps they could donate the 27p?)
