Find out how your generosity has helped change thousands of lives

Changing Thousands of LivesIn 2015, the Birmingham Question of Sport raised a staggering £52,000. This has been used to bring fun and happiness back into the lives of some the Midlands’ most vulnerable and disadvantaged children. So far this year, these funds have resulted in 7,500 children attending the annual Day Out, 133 children receiving a Toy Box upon moving out of refuge, and almost 3,800 children having gone on a Fun Day, all within the Midlands. These days have included trips to Birmingham Aquarium, Alton Towers, Warwick Castle, the Cinema and many more. Additionally, over 1,600 children had exclusive access to Drayton Manor theme park for a Christmas party. Fireworks, lunch and a visit to Santa Land were provided and the children were able to enjoy the rides in a safe and welcoming environment free from queuing. Furthermore, thanks to the Birmingham Committee and Vantage Toyota Birmingham, more than 100 children also attended the Birmingham Christmas party at the Holiday Inn. The event was a fun mix of disco, games, food and presents from Santa, provided by the Giving Tree, with additional special activities including a visit from the local Fire Brigade and circus skills and dance workshops.

Stewart Moulds, KidsOut Director of Fundraising, would like to express his thanks, “These fantastic activities would not have been possible without the continued support of individuals, companies and the committee within the Midlands. Together, you have given thousands more children in the area a glimpse at a brighter future. Thank for you for making the Question of Sport so successful and we hope to see you at it again in June.
