“This is a wonderful project as it is very important to share such stories with a wide audience, especially the young. I am very happy to contribute as a writer and believe that story is sometimes the best medium in which to share and express ideas. “
Kausar Ali Teacher at Goldsmiths University and Co author of the Urdu curriculum
“What you're developing is fantastic and very much needed….. I will trial the website in my own teaching….I hope that parents from BME groups will enjoy the educational materials with their children at home outside school too….I think it's very likely that World Stories will be used by teachers of English all over the world as well as in the UK”
David Heathfield, international storyteller, teacher trainer and education writer

“It is such a shame when I see young people who do not know about the cultures of others, especially Chinese children who do not know about their own culture. I hope that World Stories will be a valuable resource for teaching about culture as well as language.”
Ms Helen Lee-Chair Ashford International Chinese Association
I am thrilled to be part of the World Stories project...I worked for several years in libraries…It was always a delight to see children listening to a story and borrowing books to take home. Now I teach English... I have been involved with children and adults from many different countries: France, Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Somalia, Portugal, Belgium, Iran and Iraq (to name a few). They all had a love of stories… I have found stories to be a valuable resource in teaching, with the extra benefit of opening up different cultures and ideas. Before we can accept other cultures we must first understand them; stories can light a candle of understanding…”
