About Phyzzpod

Phyzzpod is a semi-portable sensory learning room. It can be built in a school, nursery or other setting and left there permanently, or re-located if the space is needed. It can even be shared between schools.

The main Phyzzpod structure has a range of effects including lighting, sound and sensory equipment. This includes a bubble tube, fibre optic unit and interactive sound equipment.

Fully Customised

Each Phyzzpod is built to order, which means that after the basic fit-out it can be tailored to meet the particular requirements of its’ setting. Even after it has been built, the Phyzzpod is very adaptable. Teachers can alter it for use with different classes, taking into account the age, ability and learning styles of different children as well as what is being taught.

Choice of Themes

Phyzzpod comes with a number of pre-programmed ‘themes’ such as ‘Under the Sea’ and ‘Jungle’. Teachers then use Phyzzpod to take children on ‘learning adventures’ which link in with the Curriculum and help to meet specific Keystage learning requirements. And it’s also easy to create new themes using the Phyzzpod software, plus your own materials or even those collected or made by the children themselves. Its flexibility means that it can be built into lesson plans and it’s easy to adapt Phyzzpod so it can help teach a wide variety of subjects. Some of the themes that schools have created for their Phyzzpods include Winter, Springtime, Halloween, Air raid shelter, Super-hero den, River, Medieval Castle and Chill-out room.

Many themes are possible using just the existing software and effects that come with the basic Phyzzpod package. And more accessories are available to purchase if and when you need them.

Our experience indicates that learning with a Phyzzpod is both a more effective and enjoyable experience for both students and teachers alike.
